About Chris

I was born and raised in a small rural Alabama town that almost always raises eyebrows when I say the name. Reform, Alabama was my home for the first 21 years of my life. While I was the youngest of three boys, with my two older brothers being somewhat older than me, I found my imagination to be my best friend. It was through the years that I read magazines, watched movies and television shows,  learning, fantasizing and dreaming about the big world beyond my one horse town. Some of my earliest memories were of Christmas - but not of all the toys like most kids my age anticipated - instead I always loved the Christmas decorations going up. It was then that I first remember being enchanted with my surroundings and in all things beautiful.

During my late high school and college years I worked as a Floral Designer and then a Visual Merchandiser for a major department store. I was graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Retail with a Minor in Marketing. Fate and job opportunities would lead me away from my design and creative dreams to more sales related work. I have spent the majority of my career in the Fragrance and Beauty Industry and have held  Account Executive positions at Calvin Klein Cosmetics and Elizabeth Arden Fragrances as well as the position of National Sales and Public Relations Director at Garden Botanika Natural Beauty Care. After a career in sales and management, I decided to take a leap of faith and follow my long held passion for design. I  attended SCAD Atlanta, receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design.

In January, 2011 I opened Chris Turner Studios, with the idea that I had a unique point of view to share.
